Berge is certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust
and probate law, by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal
Specialization. He devotes his practice primarily to
estate planning, business planning, charitable planning, federal
estate and gift tax planning, trust and probate administration,
Medi-Cal and disability planning, and conservatorships. Mr.
Berge is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Business
(BSC '81) and School of Law (JD '86) and Golden Gate University
School of Law (LLM Taxation '91). He is also a California
certified public accountant, a member of the National Academy
of Elder Law Attorneys, and a lawyer referral panel member
of California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform. He is
a sole practitioner with offices centrally located in the heart
of Silicon Valley, a published author, and a lecturer, frequently
conducting seminars and in-service training programs for seniors,
family caregivers, nurses, social workers, lawyers, financial
planners, and other professionals and non-professionals who
serve the elderly. He also appears regularly on
